Day Routing
01 Rio de Janeiro

Transfer from the airport to the hotel in an exclusive vehicle including bilingual guide assistance. Later on bike tour with focus on the southern part of the city. The tour starts at Copacabana beach and goes to Urca neighborhood. After a stop at Praia Vermelha it continues to Botafogo neighborhood and ends after a ride around Lagoa, the big city lake, surrounded by green hillsides and fancy neighborhoods.

02 Rio de Janeiro

The day starts with a walking tour through Santa Teresa. From the Cine Odeon movie theater it leads uphill to get to the charming neighborhood of Santa Teresa, a place where casualty and tradition meet. The neighborhood offers a wild variety of interesting places such as the Selaron stairway with its beautiful ceramic steps created by artist Jorge Selarón.

03 Rio de Janeiro

The morning is at leisure. In the Afternoon, a tour starts to visit the most important legacies of the Olympic Games. Here also the Museum of Tomorrow, which seeks the promotion of sustainability and interaction, will be visited. Later the tour moves on to the Cidade do Samba to get an insight into the preparation of the world-famous carnival parade. The guest may also try on some of the colorful costumes, join a caipirinha tasting and participate in an authentic festivity at the Pedra do Sal.

04 Rio de Janeiro

Full day city tour together with other travellers with some breathtaking views. After visiting the Sugar Loaf a lunch will be served in a local restaurant. After lunch continue to the station of Come Velho where a train takes everyone to the Corcovado Mountain passing by the Tijuca Forest. At the top of Corcovado, some steps lead to the top lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands.

05 Rio de Janeiro

Visit to the Tijuca National Park, where the guests will see the Vista Chinesa belvedere, Taunay Waterfall and hike up to the Tijuca Peak. Afterwards visit to the Vale Encantado, part of Alto Da Boa Vista, a region of Rio tucked into the Tijuca rainforest. The example of Vale Encantado was used to illustrate the potential vocation for sustainability among favelas and sustainably upgrading informal settlements worldwide.

06 Rio de Janeiro - Paraty

Transfer from Rio de Janeiro to Paraty on shared basis with Portuguese speaking driver only (together with other travelers, no guide assistance). Upon arrival exploration of the city’s historical center on a walking tour.

07 Paraty

In the morning guests will go on a Schoner sailing cruise together with other international travellers (without guide assistance). At three different stopvers it will be possible to engage in diving and snorkeling activities; along the way there will also be a stop for an optional on-board lunch (not included).

08 Paraty

Together with other travellers the National Park of Serra da Bocaina will be discovered by Jeep, passing by the Gold trail, several waterfalls and cachaça distilleries. The tour includes a visit to the Tobogã waterfall, the Tarzan's waterfall and the Pedra Branca waterfall, such as a visit to the cachaça distillery Engenho D’Ouro with the opportunity to taste and observe the production process. 

09 Paraty

The day will start with a perfect excursion for lovers of nature and horseback riding. A car will take the guests from Paraty directly to the National Park of Bocaina, where horse riding tour starts. On trained horses, equally adapted for beginners and more experienced riders, the path goes through beautiful forest and mountain terrain, with swimming stops in amazing waterfalls. Later on visit to the Social Project ITAE (Instituto Trilha da Arte & Educação) that offers art, education, sports and special projects free of charge to children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 18.  

10 Paraty - Ilha Grande

Pick up at hotel in Paraty in a private car to Conceição de Jacareí or Angra dos Reis with Portuguese-speaking driver. From the pier, transfer together with other travellers by regular flex boat to Abraao village (without guides). Upon arrival, a guide will walk the guests to the pousada. Afterwards they will enjoy a historical and cultural reconnaissance tour together with other travellers and a local guide.

11 Ihla Grande

Departure together with other travellers from the Abrãao Pier to Lagoa Azul by regular schooner, passing by awesome locations that protect its unspoiled natural environments. The tour includes a stop at Japariz beach, with the possibility to relax on the beach or enjoy a lunch in a local restaurant (not included). After lunch, the schooner continues on a panoramic tour passing by Enseada das Estrelas, Saco do Céu and Camiranga beach.

12 Ihla Grande

Full day at leisure.

13 Ihla Grande - Rio de Janeiro

End of the roundtrip. Departure from Abraão pier by regular flex boat (shared basis without guide) to Conceição de Jacareí or Angra dos Reis. Arrival at the pier and transfer to Rio de Janeiro on private basis including Portuguese-speaking driver. Individual departure flight or start of an extension programme.
