On arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel, the Belmond Miraflores Park. Lima is particularly known for its excellent cuisine - the city features several of the world’s best restaurants. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Today explore the historical site of Huaca Pucllana. Enjoy haute cuisine at the site’s restaurant while taking in 1500-year-old views. After lunch you will get to know downtown  Lima with its colonial heart and the famed Larco Museum. Housed in an elegant mansion, the museum hosts the world’s largest private collection of Pre-Colombian art. Your dinner is served at the museum’s top notch restaurant.

Flight to Cusco and private transfer to the Sacred Valley. Visit the traditional indigenous market of Pisac and explore Ollantaytambo, the last stand of the Incas in their defense against the Spanish conquerors. Overnight at the Belmond Hotel Rio Sagrado, a tranquil and luxurious hideaway.

Train ride to Machu Picchu. Visit the famous Inca Citadel upon arrival. Tea time, dinner and overnight at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, an inviting retreat adjacent to Machu Picchu.

Rise early to see the sun rise over Machu Picchu (second visit without guide). After lunch transfer back to Cusco. Spend the night at the beautiful Belmond Palacio Nazarenas.

Enjoy a walking tour of Cusco and its bohemian district San Blas. Take in the colonial and Inca sites of this cultural  mélange. Then explore the Coricancha temple as well as the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, one of the best examples of Inca construction techniques. Wrap up the evening with à la carte dining at the elegant MAP Café.  

Day at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities, to visit a local farmer’s market or stroll through the city’s colonial streets.
