Peru, Colombia - Highlands & Carribean

Arrival in Lima. The city is characterized by its historic centre, art galleries, archaeological sites and traditions.

Flight to Cusco and transfer to the Sacred Valley. Visit to the Chinchero community and its originally Sunday market. Continue to “El Mirador de Racchi” for a splendid view of the Sacred Valley. Typical lunch included.

Morning at leisure. Optional excursions like visiting the traditional Pisac Market, Rafting on the Urubamba river, Biking tour in the Sacred Valley or Hiking from Ollantaytambo to Cachicata. In the afternoon visit of the ruins of Ollantaytambo.

Full day excursion to Machu Picchu. Once arrived by Vistadome train guests visit the Incan site of Machu Picchu including a guided walk. In the afternoon return by bus and train to Cusco.

Half day city tour including the ruins around Cusco, like Sacsayhuaman.

Panoramic drive to Puno (Seat-in). En route visit the town of Andahuaylillas, the ruins of Racchi and the small town of Pucara. Lunch included.

Full day boat excursion on Lake Titicaca to visit the floating Islands of the Uros Indians and Taquile Island. Lunch included. Flight from Juliaca to Lima and transfer to the hotel.

City tour to visit the San Francisco Convent and to explore the Larco Herrera Museum, which houses the world’s largest private collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian Art.

Flight to Bogotá in Colombia.

City tour to explore the colonial centre, the Gold Museum and the Fernando Botero Museum. Continue to the salt cathedral of Zipaquirá, which is completely built of salt.

Flight to Cartagena. City tour including visit of the San Pedro Claver convent, photo stop at fortress San Felipe and walking tour through the wonderful colonial city centre.

Day at leisure to visit to the colonial city or the beaches.

End of the roundtrip and departure flight or post-tour.
