Colombia Package - Historical Gems

Arrival and reception at the airport, transfer to the desert of Tatacoa, visit to the Paleontological Museum, walk on the path „El Cuzco“, along cracks of eroded earth caused by wind and water. Afterwards transfer to the hotel in Riviera.

Take a five-hour drive along the river Magdalena to San Agustin. In the afternoon visit to the Archeological Park, proclaimed by UNESCO in 1995 as a cultural heritage of humanity, afterwards visit to the Mesitas A, B, C and D.

Drive to Isnos and visit to the Archeological Park Alto de los Idolos. The afternoon is at guests disposal or they can choose one of the optional tours such as horseback riding or rafting.

Leaving San Agustin for an 8 hours drive on unpaved ways, via La Plata to the archeological zone of Tierradentro. On its way guests cross the Central Cordilleras, along the river Páez and reach the village of San Andrés de Pisimbalá.

Visit to the Archeological Park of Tierradentro, proclaimed by UNESCO in 1995 as a cultural heritage of humanity, where they can find the subterranean buildings (Hypogenous). Decorations in colour and rock drawings of a house of Natives and their protective spirits give an interesting impression of this period. Afterwards visit to the Archeological- and Anthropological Museum. In the afternoon 3 hours drive to reach the hotel in Popayan.

Visit the historical and colonial part of the city. On the way guests will try the „Pipián empanadas“. Transfer to the hotel and individual homebound flight.
