Colombia Earthquake

We are deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake that struck western Colombia. Our thoughts are with everyone who has lost loved ones, as well as with all those affected by this tragic event and the communities facing its consequences. According to the latest reports, at least 132 people have lost their lives and 570 people have been injured. The situation and casualty figures may continue to be updated as emergency and rescue efforts continue.

Our priority is the safety and well-being of our guests. We are pleased to confirm that all of our guests currently traveling in the affected region are safe and well. They have also been able to continue their planned programs and activities as scheduled.

The areas most significantly affected include the Coffee Triangle (Eje Cafetero) and Cali. Other parts of Colombia have experienced limited effects and are operating normally.

Following temporary disruptions, airport operations in the affected region are being restored, with flights reopening at several airports.

We continue to monitor the situation closely and remain in constant contact with our local teams and partners. We will continue to provide support and assistance to our guests as needed.

Iguazu National Park, Argentina

Following recent meetings between park authorities, technical teams and the concession company, a decision has been made to temporarily close the Devil´s Throat circuit starting Monday, August 3, 2026. This preventive closure is due to heavy rain forecasts for northern Argentina, southern Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, all driven by the "El Niño" phenomenon (ENOS).

Weather reports predict that the Iguazu River will see an extraordinary rise in water levels over the next few months. September and October look especially critical, and the high-water flow could put the circuit's structures at risk. To prevent any serious damage, local authorities are starting a special safety protocol on August 3. This process will take about 40 days and involves removing the circuit's floors and handrails to keep them safe so they can be reinstalled later.

Iguazu National Park stays open and ready for visitors and guests can fully enjoy the Upper and Lower Circuits, the Green Trail, the Macuco Trail, and the Ecological Jungle Train. Other attractions like the "Yvyrá Retá" Visitor Center, Territorio Yaguareté, the Old Hotel Cataratas exhibition, and the local shops and restaurants remain fully operational.
