Montevideo - Minas Pick up your rental car and drive northeast to reach the Estancia La Salamora near Minas, a comfortable rustic lodge on a traditional Uruguayan cattle ranch. The rooms in this historic stone building have warm country décor with a wood design. You are invited to help with the daily work at a ranch if you like to deep into farm work. Overnight with fullboard. |

Estancia La Salamora (Minas) The estancia offers a great variety of activities. One of these activities is a horseback trip on cross country riding trails on strong Corillo horses. Enjoy fresh homemade meals and a high-end wine from the in-house wine cellar in the lounge or dining room. |

Minas - Chuy (Estancia El Fortín) Continue northeast to reach the Rocha region, located at the Brazilian frontier. The region is characterised by extensive wild beaches and the emerald green ocean. You will overnight at Estancia El Fortín de San Miguel, built in the same stone as the nearby fortress. |

Chuy (Estancia El Fortín) Day at leisure. You may visit Chuy, a curious town at the border to the neighbouring Brazil or San Miguel National park presenting a very important natural reserve with different ecosystems where you can find species like capybaras, otters, monkeys, wild cats, foxes and birds like flamingos, owls and swallows. |

Rocha (Estancia El Charabón) Wake up at the estancia, ready to enjoy another day in the countryside. After a vitalise breakfast you will go for a horseback trip to the nearby beaches and wetlands to spot heron, peacocks and other migrating birds. The closeness to the Altantic ocean allows to explore the wild coastline around Cabo Polonio, sand dunes and sea lion colonies. |

Rocha - Montevideo Spend another relaxing morning at your Estancia. After lunch return to Montevideo to drop off your rental car and to spend your last night in Uruguay and stroll through the historic downtown or along the exclusive beach promenade. |
