Individual arrival in Bogota. Welcome by your local english speaking guide and transfer to your hotel.

Visit the folkloric market place of Paloquemao. Half day city tour to explore the historical centre of La Candelaria and visit to the famous Gold Museum. The museum displays a selection of pre-Hispanic gold work.

Transfer to Villa de Leyva, a colonial town with cobblestone streets and many buildings date from the sixteenth century. Visit of the famous Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá, an underground church built within the tunnels of a salt mine.

Excursion through a desert-like landscape to the monastery of Ecce Homo to visit the skeleton of a Kronosaurus. Continue to “El Infiernito”, the astronomical centre of the cultural Muisca.

Drive through the Andean mountains into the colonial village Barichara. Enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the cobbled alleys.

Walking tour from Barichara to Guane along the "Camino Real", an 8 km long path through the hilly landscape, and visit of the small paleontological museum. Return to Barichara and visit of a cigar factory and various craft shops.

Visit to the famous Chiacamocha Canyon, a steep sided canyon carved by the Chicamocha River. Continue to Giron.

Transfer to the airport of Bucaramanga. Flight to Cartagena, a fairy-tale city on the Carribean coast.

Half day city tour including visit to the Convent of La Popa, a photo-stop at the Fort San Felipe. Walk through the colourful streets of Cartagena and visit of the convent of San Pedro Claver. Afternoon at leisure.

Transfer to the aiport for the return flight.
