Day Routing
01 Quito

Arrival to Quito and hotel transfer.

02 Quito

City tour including the middle of the world monument "Mitad del mundo".

03 Quito - Otavalo

Departure to Otavalo and visit to South America’s largest street market. Colourful woven fabrics, hand-carved jewelry and the unique local cuisine make up for a cultural highlight not to be missed.

04 Otavalo (Cuicocha Lagoon)

Enjoy a 5-hour hiking tour around the fine Cuicocha Crater Lake. Various flowers add brilliant splashes of color to the scenery. In the afternoon guests will visit the small leather-working town of Cotacachi.

05 Otavalo - Cotopaxi

Drive to Cotopaxi National Park. Today‘s trekking tour leads to the beautiful Limpiopungo Lagoon. Guests will see many different species of birds here, and enjoy fantastic views of the Cotopaxi volcano.

06 Cotopaxi - Quilotoa

Hike to the extinct volcano crater and emerald green lagoon of Quilotoa. Walk down a steep path to the lake’s edge (2-3 hrs). Afterwards take a walk around the lake for another 3-4 hrs. From the rim of the crater, several snowcapped volcanoes can be seen in the distance, a striking panorama. Tonight, guests will stay at a basic hotel at Chugchilan.

07 Quilotoa - Baños

Transfer to Baños. Afternoon at leisure for town strolls & relaxation. On saturdays guests may visit the Zumbahua market.

08 Baños

Morning walk along the shores of Pastaza River. Afternoon at leisure.

09 Baños - Riobamba

Transfer to Riobamba and visit of the remote Chimborazo National Park with easy trekking en-route.

10 Riobamba - Cuenca

Train ride to the Devil's Nose and visit of the Ingapirca ruins. Continue to Cuenca.

11 Cuenca

City tour of colonial Cuenca. Afternoon at leisure.

12 Cuenca - Guayaquil

Transfer to Guayaquil with stop at El Cajas National Park for a light trekking.

13 Guayaquil

Transfer to the airport and home-bound flight.
